All Systems: Check
I expect 2023 to be a decently productive year balanced with several family vacations. My goal is to write 4-5 novels, which I think I can do with good time management and solid outlines. Here's a check-in on my current projects as of May 2023:
The Lazarus Key
I've finished writing The Lazarus Key, a speculative thriller about a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service agent named Sam Brodie who joins a specialized FWS task force that specializes in looking into bizarre wildlife cases (like saber-tooth tigers). For a high concept, think of The X-Files if Mulder and Scully investigated unexplainable wildlife incidents rather than aliens. The manuscript is finished and I expect to release it in the October/November timeframe, though I may release it earlier. If book 1 connects well with readers, this will become a series.

Judge Mental
I started writing this serialized superhero story on Wattpad, but I've found a new home for Judge's complete story. It's now finished and with my editor at Aethon Books. Once I get a release date, I'll be sure to let you know!

Legion Quest
I'm about 20k words (of roughly 80-100k words) into a portal fantasy that throws a disabled gamer into a Dungeons and Dragons world. It's fun, classic fantasy with a heroic team facing unbeatable odds. I hope to finish writing this story in May and plan to self-publish as soon as it's edited (late summer).

Secondhand Spaceman
I'm now writing a new science fiction novel (likely, a series). I have 30k words written (of roughly 80k words), and I expect to have book 1 finished by in June. I'm still figuring out the release plan for it--I may go ahead and publish as soon as it's ready, or I may hold on while I write a couple of more books in the series.

Redline Corps
As soon as I wrap up Secondhand Spaceman and Legion Quest, it's back to a 3-book series space-based science fiction series for Aethon Books. This series involves an alien war against humanity, and we're on the losing side.

Other Stuff
I have new projects planned out from here, including the Archon Saga, a post-apocalyptic trilogy that has meaner and scarier zombies than the Deadland Saga. I expect to start on this as soon as I wrap up the above projects.
I keep hearing from readers about when the next Bounty Hunter book comes out. I originally had six novels planned for the current story arc, which leaves two more novels to write. Unfortunately, the series hasn't done as well as I hoped, so the remaining two books are sitting on the back burner as I work on other projects first. I do plan to write books 5 and 6 at some point (hopefully in 2024) to wrap up the storyline. The first four novels are available on Kindle, everywhere in audio, and in paperback. Oh, and the first novel is also available on the Tales app as a visual story.
I have the rights back on the very first novels I published (fantasy romance). I picked up a new cover and plan to package both novels (Knightfall and Hellbound) as a single ebook, which I'll rerelease this year across all ebook retailers under the original series name, Guardians of the Seven Seals.
